Suma’s holiday special is back for its 4th year!
Enjoy a discounted holiday meal or grocery store gift card and make the season lighter on your budget.
We created this deal to cut down on seasonal stress and give you more space to celebrate and spend time with people you love.

This year we are also offering the option to purchase a discounted meal or a discounted grocery store gift card. With each of these options, users can purchase an additional sweet packet.
Users can purchase either:
one meal from Sheridan’s Fruit Co,
Black Girl Veggies, or Tienda Doña Maria
OR
one grocery store gift card
and ADD
a sweet packet from La Casa de Mamá to either a meal or gift card
(it can also be purchased by itself)

Ordering for the holiday special will begin on December 3rd at 2pm and will be open until December 5th, or until it is sold out.
The holiday special is available to all validated suma users. Suma works with our partners to ensure new users are eligible for the suma app and its products, discounts, and subsidies. This allows us to “validate” a new user.

This year we’re piloting gift cards as a response to community requesting affordable food for the holiday season. Folks will be able to choose between three grocery store options (Safeway, WinCo, and Fred Meyer). Gift cards are valued at $100 and will be priced at $50 for suma users.
We’ll use what we learn from this pilot to reach out in 2026 for more food offerings for suma users.
All food products will cost $10 for suma users.
All gift cards will cost $50.

Due to partner and budget capacity, we only have a certain amount of total meals available. We have a set number available for each meal based on our estimations of what folks will order. Based on orders, we may make more of another meal available depending on the demand.

getting your order
You will receive a text with the information of the location you picked upon check out before the pick up date.
No problem, just make sure you give your confirmation number with the last four digits of your phone number to whoever is picking up your order. They can show up to the location you selected and retrieve the order with that information.

- Meals from Sheridan Fruit Co. will last 3-4 days.
- Meals from Black Girl Veggies will last 3-4 days.
- Meals from La Casa de Mamá will last 1-2 days for bread freshness. Tamales may be frozen to keep longer.
Sheridan Fruit Co., Black Girl Veggies and La Casa de Mamá will provide an already cooked and prepared meal. All the meals will come with reheating instructions.
